November 1st already! Of course I was busy with Halloween events the past week, personally I think Halloween should be a weekend thing that stretched over Friday night and ends Sunday evening (but that’s just me.)
With having kids there are what I call the Halloween to do list.
First there’s picking out the costume in which one such child wanted to go as Thomas but was too short to go as his favourite blue train because the costume was way too long (or he was too short.) He begrudgingly settled for Batman.
There’s the pumpkin patch/ corn maze that is to be visited, although we buy our pumpkins from the grocery store since they’re a million times cheaper.
The picking of the pumpkins (which can be a tedious task of finding the perfect pumpkins.) There’s also picking one out for kiddo which is still sitting on his picnic table uncarved, I wonder how long he’s going to lug it around for before it finally goes bad.
Carving the pumpkins which was sans child because dear God if he were to watch mom and dad butcher a pumpkin he’d think us monsters for the rest of his days… or until next Halloween when he actually understood that’s what you’re SUPPOSED to do.
The Mall Crawl which I think is more for parents to parade around their cute little monsters all dressed up J
Then at last there’s trick or treating which went rather well last night, we were out for around an hour, after that the bucket got heavy, the legs got weary and mom ended up carrying tired baby batman back home with the plunder he had collected for his parents.
I hope you all had a great and happy Halloween!
