No More Bottle!

After a few maddening days of my son deciding that he was going to dump the contents of his bottle all over the place during his morning breakfast and then lunch (he usually gets it first thing in the morning, before his afternoon nap and then one more at night before bed.) My husband and I decided that it was time to stop with the bottle during the day, our child simply cannot be trusted to be alone nor unwatched for 30 seconds with it because he end up magically taking off the nipple, or unscrewing the top and getting it all over the floor, couch, dog, and tables. The annoyance of it was starting to grate on serious nerves.

This morning my nerves were being shot and grated upon by a child pushing on my chair screaming that he wants his bottle, I offered him milk in a sippy cup, cheerio’s, dried mango slices, and strawberry fruit bites. For a few minutes I allowed him to be upset, I understand why he’s mad but it’s time to move past the bottle. After about 5 minutes of protest my son gave up, decided mom was the bad guy and crawled onto the couch with dad (with his bowl of food) and is now happily watching cartoons. Whatever, mom will take this one for the team, just as long as I don’t have to try and clean a full bottle of milk off the dog and rug again.

About vanitymom

I'm here to talk about not only the joys of motherhood but also the (not so much joys) of living in a high society world that you're judged upon your looks... where I live you need to be a 7 to gain beach access, an 8 to walk around half naked in the summertime and atleast a 9 to hold your head up high. I'm Vanity Mom. I will be talking about things such as parenting (of course) beauty tips for moms, exercise, and eating healthy... all while doing this with a kid biting the hell out of your leg because he's teething.
