Never Deny Yourself The Little Things

Sometimes being a mom can be hard, alright I’ll go out and say it, sometimes it right out REALLY SUCKS. Your life suddenly revolves around a child whom on occasion has temper tantrums when you take them to the park for a “special” day, wrecks their  brand new toys that you spent a fortune on, screams at you when you’re trying your damndest to soothe them and not lose your temper, and tosses the meal (that you made SPECIALLY for them) onto the floor.

Not only do you get to deal with temper tantrums, the no’s, their suicidal behaviour (like jumping off the couch to see if they can miss the coffee table) and diapers sent from the pits of hell. You get to LIVE around this creature pretty much 24/7 unless you work. Your life focus is your child’s well being, all the while you’re tired and broke, your money is going towards overpriced Baby Einstein crap because its supposedly securing the fact that your child will be a genius because they listened to classical music. In the scheme of things mom’s world revolves around the kiddo and they tend to forget about themselves.

Mom’s, you are the number one important woman in this child’s life, you may not be getting a trophy but you definitely deserve a reward, so never forget to treat yourself. Its amazing what a small splurge will do for you, go get a haircut, buy that fabulous top that you’ve been oggling for the past week, try a new color of nail polish or a fresh tube of lipstick. These might sound like little things but they do indeed put a bounce in your step.

About vanitymom

I'm here to talk about not only the joys of motherhood but also the (not so much joys) of living in a high society world that you're judged upon your looks... where I live you need to be a 7 to gain beach access, an 8 to walk around half naked in the summertime and atleast a 9 to hold your head up high. I'm Vanity Mom. I will be talking about things such as parenting (of course) beauty tips for moms, exercise, and eating healthy... all while doing this with a kid biting the hell out of your leg because he's teething.
