We’ve hit that time, its GROWTH SPURT TIME! This means my child has been eating like a little horse and then has restless nights from growing pains… so here’s a list of easy go to foods and night time woe remedies.
Since he seems to ALWAYS be eating I try to use a different variety of healthy and easy to eat snacks, Bear Paw cookies (banana bread and yogurt) are favourites along with Ritz cheese mini bites, animal crackers, fruit gummies (weather its fruit leather or the small chewable) yogurt covered raisins, dried fruit, grapes, apple bites, and Quaker crisps.
For bedtime we try to keep him in looser pyjama’s so he has lots of room to move, we give him a small dose of Advil before bed and give him a nice warm bath.
Of course just because he’s full, tired and satisfied doesn’t mean that you’re going to get away with a peaceful night. I set the mobile to play a little longer when I go to my son’s room to soothe him, I don’t tuck him in as tight, instead I add an extra security blanket just in case.
