One thing I’ve never understood is how ladies with great fashion sense seem to lose it once they become mothers, they go from sporting chique outfits to wearing sweatpants and baggy shirts. 1) Ladies, it take just as much time to put on a pair of jeans as it does a pair of sweats. 2) Don’t say its more comfortable because the material in jeans hasn’t changed in the past few months/years in you having a child, you wore them before. 3) Regular clothes wash just as easily as the baggy ones. 3) Sweatpants are for lounging around in the house or going to the gym to SWEAT!
I own a few pair of sweats of which I RARELY wear and can count the times that they’ve actually been worn outside the house… it’s always damn early when I’m in need of a coffee fix and there’s none in the cubbard so indeed there have been less than half a dozen times that I’ve pulled them on (with a fitted shirt) and DROVE to the Tim Hortons where I’ve stayed IN the car and have gone through the Drive Thru.
Mom’s, just because you’ve become a napkin, and now work with excrements doesn’t mean you can’t look good doing it. I fully believe that if you look good that you’ll feel good, that your confidence will raise and that all in all you’ll find yourself smiling even on those days where you’re covered in drool and handling a screaming child. Doesn’t your child deserve a good-looking fashion trendy mom? Heck don’t you deserve to look like a fashion trendy woman BECAUSE you’re a mom?
So ladies, do yourself a favor and toss a pair of jeans on the floor on top of those sweats and feel good.
